The Styleprint Design System takes what can be the overwhelming task of redecorating and breaks things down into simple planning steps. To have worksheets that help you organize your decisions along the way and are then there for review throughout the process is genius
Decor&You has really changed the world of decorating by simplifying the overwhelming task of decorating. They have taken the fear out of decorating and differentiated themselves in a way that I have not seen in over 25 years of franchising. Approaching the market in a way that gives their clients the confidence they need to create the space they dream of with Styleprint is nothing short of brilliant.
The Anatomy of a decor project and the Styleprint Design System created by Karen Powell is thought provoking while instilling confidence that we can all be active and successful participants in designing the work or home environment we would love.”

Using the step-by-step Styleprint Design System, you’ll turn frustration into fascination when you see just how easily you can produce a finished product like the pros! Karen has a way of making things easy. If you’ve ever seen a room designed by Karen’s Decor&You team, you’ll instantly understand their tag line of ‘Love the space you’re in.’ This book is a must read for anyone who wants to decorate and hear the inevitable, ‘Wow!’
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Karen’s book. It’s easy to understand, flows beautifully, and addresses immediately the key challenges we all face at the onset of a project. I love the way she breaks the information down into digestible components. And she’s right, a new home or a re-do project can quickly become overwhelming. Her system provides a way to manage/control the physical as well as psychological processes at work.
I also like the way she introduces the benefits of bringing a design professional into the mix. It’s very low key/low pressure but highlights what an experienced eye and objective perspective can bring to bear. Perfectly balanced. And will be well received.
My daughter struggles with a small house, tiny/dark rooms, and a growing family. Those little rooms were fine when her daughter and son were babies, but now there are real challenges. I envision her being gripped by the possibilities of the worksheets and upcoming chapters. She is bright, creative, and imaginative, however, she has looked at the house and its inner space for so many years, its difficult to envision new options and potential. And although both she and her husband are professionals, their resources are limited. So on all levels, Karen’s words resonate.
It’s given me plenty to think of in my own home as well.
Finally! A personal blueprint everyone can easily use to create the best in their home. Long overdue! Well done, Karen.
