Karen’s Unique Ability is putting a positive spin on life, celebrating, seeing possibilities, making connections, and creating relationships in order to make contributions and produce results.
She loves to learn and empower others to be their best selves.
She loves to create and assist others in creating personal space to love—space that not only looks good, feels good, but also functions as wanted. Professionally, our best compliment from a client is: “Wow! I absolutely love my room—and I never would have made those choices without you!” And, she takes great pride in educating and coaching our Styleprint Designers in being able to do the same for their clients.
Karen is passionate about business. This began when she was in high school and worked in an office. After that, she was a secondary school teacher of business for 10 years and has a Masters in Business Education. Following that she began her entrepreneurial career in color and cosmetics and then in the home furnishings industry. She has trained and developed teams of professional decorators spanning the last 30 years which included founding and launching, Decor&You, a franchise opportunity in the home furnishings industry. She is committed to fostering forward professional growth within the franchise community, serving on the board of directors for the International Franchise Association (IFA) and is a Certified Franchise Executive.
Her first experience in writing was a chapter in the book Succeeding Against All Odds, compiled by the eWomen Network.
Next, she created a personal photo book as a tribute to her Dad, Dadisms.
And now, she has produced the Styleprint Design System which is a guide to assist anyone with a decorating project.
Karen is originally from and resides in Connecticut with her husband, Terry and their two bichon frises, Gizmo and Toby. She is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with family at the Jersey shore.
